From a master’s student in Software Design at ITU specialising in training and education, to the startup project Trainiant, working to strengthen the training of unskilled workers in the welfare sector.

Together with experts from the pedagogical field, Dea is developing an on-demand e-learning crash course in pedagogical tools. The goal is clear: to make it easy, fast, and motivating for unskilled teaching assistants to get equipped for the many challenges of everyday life.

The project has had a flying start. With support and a home-base at ITU NextGen, and now also the award of the Mikrolegat of DKK 50,000, the development of Trainiant’s beta version can gain momentum. The beta version is expected to be ready for testing at the beginning of 2026, and we look forward to taking the next step toward a more accessible form of training in the welfare sector.

Dea’s tips for applying for Mikrolegat: "As meoo [another ITU startup] wisely said, start by ‘validating your idea and make sure someone truly finds it valuable’. I’ll add this: manage your time. You’ll need space to shape, refine, and communicate your idea clearly. Start early, ask for feedback, and don’t be afraid to rewrite - fresh perspectives can turn a good application into a great one. And if it’s your first time video-pitching, give yourself extra time to practice and polish."
