Morten, who studies Digital Innovation and Management at ITU shares his advice for applying for a Mikrolegat
April 30, 2025

Huge congratulations to Morten, who studies Digital Innovation & Management at ITU, and the rest of his team for receiving 25,000 DKK from the Danish Foundation for Entrepreneurship’s Mikrolegat.
Morten, Aksel, Asbjørn, and Oliver are combining their knowledge and experience from ITU, DTU, and AAU to develop digital product passports. Their solution aims to make complex environmental data accessible and affordable for companies of all sizes, helping them comply with upcoming EU sustainability regulations and enabling consumers to make greener, data driven choices. Currently, conducting environmental product analyses (Life Cycle Assessments) can be extremely costly and time-consuming. Lifetrace’s approach is to automate and simplify this process by combining verified databases with company-provided product information. This allows even small and medium sized enterprises to generate accurate environmental impact assessments without prohibitive costs.
Morten’s advice to other students applying for a Mikrolegat: "If you believe in your project and know why it matters, just apply. Be authentic, show your passion, and explain exactly how the grant will make a difference."
If you're planning to apply to a Mikrolegat yourself, you're very welcome to reach out and get sparring and feedback on our application.
