From Risk to Opportunity: Mastering Tough Questions as a Founder
OBS! New start time: The event will start at 16:30 instead of 16.10.
Why do some founders get asked about potential failures, while others get asked about potential success?
As a student entrepreneur, you will often face tough, risk-focused questions from investors, employers, and stakeholders - questions that put you on the defensive rather than allowing you to showcase your vision and potential.
However, turning these preventing questions (focused on what could go wrong) into promoting answers (focused on what could go right) is a skill that anyone can learn.
In this interactive session, you’ll learn how to spot risk-based questions and reframe them into opportunity-driven responses that strengthen your position and increase your chances of securing funding, partnerships, or recognition.
This approach isn’t just theory - it’s backed by research and proven strategies that can help you take control of the narrative and shift the conversation in your favour.
Led by an experienced engineer, researcher, and communication expert, Farnaz Aref, this workshop will give you practical tools to navigate challenging conversations with confidence. Whether you're pitching your startup, applying for funding, or trying to get your ideas taken seriously, you'll walk away with a new perspective on handling tough questions - and the skills to turn risk into opportunity.
The session will end with a Q&A, where you can get answers to all the questions you might have.
Who is this event for: All ITU students, who are curious or already have their own startup. The session will focus on student entrepreneurs in general, and the learnings shared will be relevant to all.
Snacks and a light meal will be served.
When: 6 March 2025
