What is Idea Lab?

Idea Lab is a two-day, cross-university entrepreneurship programme built around learning by doing.

Working with students from different universities and academic backgrounds, you’ll take an early idea or problem and figure out what you need to learn before taking it further.

Over the two days, you’ll:

→ Identify the assumptions behind your idea

→ Work with other students to design a real-world test

→ Get out and gather feedback

→ Use what you learn to develop, change or challenge your idea

→ Decide what your next step could be

The goal isn’t to leave with the perfect startup. It’s to test something, learn from it and see where it could go.

How can I join?

There are three ways to take part in Idea Lab.

💡 Bring an idea

Have an early idea you want to explore? Bring it to Idea Lab and use the two days to test what could work.

🔎 Bring a problem

Have a problem or challenge you think is worth solving, but not the solution yet? Bring the problem and explore possible directions with others.

🛠 Bring your skills

No idea of your own? Join someone else and contribute your knowledge, perspective and skills to help develop and test an idea.

Why join Idea Lab?

Idea Lab is a chance to try entrepreneurship rather than just learn about it.

You’ll get to:

→ Test an idea with real people

→ Work with students outside your own university and discipline

→ Develop practical entrepreneurial and innovation skills

→ Build your network across Danish universities

→ Learn more about the Danish startup ecosystem

→ Explore whether entrepreneurship could be for you

No previous startup or entrepreneurship experience is required.

Who can apply?

Idea Lab is open to students from all Danish universities, regardless of what you study.

You don’t need to have a startup, a team or a fully developed idea.

You can apply with:

An idea. A problem. Or your skills.

Ready to test where an idea could go?
